When I Can Help

Some of the areas in which I can assist people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their loved ones, include:

 • Difficulties adjusting to the cancer diagnosis and associated physical and lifestyle changes

 • Excessive worry and fear of the uncertainty, including fear of cancer recurrence or progression, and death/dying

• Anxiety and phobias, including needle phobia, claustrophobia, and social anxiety, as well as death anxiety

• PTSD symptoms, including flashbacks, nightmares, and intrusive thoughts and images

• Depression and other changes in mood

• Self-esteem and body image issues

• Decision-making difficulties, including those related to cancer treatment choices

• Changes to personal relationships

• Feelings of helplessness, grief and loss, both for the person with a cancer diagnosis and their loved ones. This may include loss of identity, roles, plans and hopes.
