I am a registered Clinical Psychologist, with an undergraduate Science degree from the University of NSW and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney.  I have over 20 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist, taught counselling skills at the University of Sydney, and have supervised both students and experienced Clinical Psychologists. I previously held an honorary appointment at RPAH and was involved in research with the University of Sydney into the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders. 

I have helped a variety of people over the years, ranging from the homeless to the CEO of a large publicly listed company and an Olympic Gold medallist.   

I  founded and ran for over 10 years, a busy group private practice in North Sydney, with a focus on helping people struggling with anxiety. After moving to the coast and commuting for a few years, and being diagnosed with and treated for cancer, I decided to specialise in assisting people with a cancer diagnosis. I worked at the Cancer Care Centre at Gosford Hospital, assisting both inpatients and outpatients.  When I left there, I returned to working in private practice, with a renewed interest in, and knowledge of, the psychological impact of cancer and how to assist people impacted by it.  

I was previously a member of the NSW State Executive Committee of the Australian Association of Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy, am a founding member of the Australian Clinical Psychologist Association, and am a member of the Anxiety Practitioners Network and the International End of Life Doula Association. I have also been a member of Cancer Counselling Professionals.
